By the time we reach this stage of the Reset Journey, we’ve already walked through some profound transformations.
And through these cycles, whether we realise it or not, we’ve already begun to lead differently.
Because leadership is not just a title or a role. It is the ripple effect of how you show up; with yourself, in your work, and in every relationship you hold.
This Reset comes after Action for a reason. Once you are moving steadily, the question is no longer “what am I doing?” but “who am I becoming as I do it?”
Leadership is not confined to the workplace. It’s in how you parent, how you treat your spouse, how you listen to your colleagues, how you show up for a friend in need, how you carry yourself in society, and above all, how you relate to yourself.
When you’ve worked through your own fears, re-centered your state of mind, and committed to meaningful action, your presence changes. You don’t just do differently. You are different.
The Leadership Reset is about owning this shift. About choosing the kind of influence you want to have on the lives and spaces you touch.
Science reminds us that leadership is not just behavioural; it is biological.
When you lead with empathy, oxytocin rises in both you and the people around you. Trust deepens. Collaboration flows.
When you celebrate progress, dopamine rewards the brain with motivation and momentum. Teams — and families thrive on these moments of recognition.
When you show calm steadiness under pressure, serotonin stabilises not just your own mood but signals safety to others.
When you lead with fear or reactivity, cortisol spikes, creating stress not only in your body but in the system around you.
Leadership, at its core, is contagious chemistry. Your state doesn’t just belong to you. It transfers, invisibly but powerfully, to those around you.
When I left my 25-year corporate career, it wasn’t just my direction that changed, my leadership changed too.
As an auditor, leadership once meant guiding teams, influencing management, and holding governance to account.
As a coach, leadership now means something wider: how I hold space for clients, how I show up for my family, how I embody the values I want my children, my blended family of five from teenagers to adults, to inherit.
Leadership, I’ve realised, is not only about the boardroom or the workplace. It’s about the kitchen table, the difficult conversations, the small acts of presence that say: “I see you. I am here.”
That shift has been humbling. Because when we choose to reset how we lead, we stop thinking of leadership as a position, and start living it as a posture.
Take a pause here. Ask yourself:
👉 Write down your answer. Share it with someone you trust. Or simply practice one daily act of uplift this week and let your leadership ripple outward.
Because leadership is not reserved for the few. It is the daily choice we all make to shape the spaces we touch.
✨ Note: I’ve also created a condensed PDF guide with the essence of this reset, covering presence, chemistry, and practices in a quick-scroll format. Here is the link to it.
✨ Next in the Reset Journey: Self-Nourishment Reset because leadership, at its best, is sustained not by sacrifice alone, but by the renewal that keeps your presence strong.
